Disable automatic reading on Netflix
The automatic playback on Netflix is materialized by the fact that the episodes follow one after the other, 15 seconds after the last image, without even leaving the end credits. Netflix does not hide it, the purpose of this feature is not to make your life easier, but to keep you in front of the screen as long as possible.
Recently, a term has even been coined: binge-watching, which is the practice of watching programs, very often episodes of the same series, for an extended period of time Netflix allows you to disable automatic playback if you are one of those who do not know how to say stop when a new episode starts.
To do this, launch the application and click on the icon of your profile located in the upper right corner of the interface. A drop-down menu appears, then click on “Account”.

At the bottom of the page, in the “My Profile” section, click “Reading Settings”.
In the playback settings, you can see the section dedicated to automatic playback: just then uncheck the box “Automatically launch the next episode”.
Then click on “Save” to validate the operation.
Change the appearance of subtitles
Return to the “Account” page and go to the “My Profile” section.
Just below the playback settings is “Subtitle View”, click on it.
The subtitle settings will be changed on all the devices you use to watch Netflix.
Any changes you make are directly visible in the frame at the top of the interface so you can preview and be sure that the new appearance of the subtitles is right for you.
The first thing to do is to adjust the size of the text.
Adjust it to the media on which you are watching Netflix programs and how far you are from the device.
You can then display the drop-down menu of the font. Seven fonts are available, for you to see the one you prefer.
If you click on the square to the right of the font menu,
you have the option to change the color of the text.
As you can see in the picture below, you can opt for eight different colors.
In the same way that you have made the font drop-down menu appear, display one of the shadows proposed, then select the one that seems the most suitable for you. As for the font, the color of the shadow can be changed by clicking on the square to the right of the drop-down menu.

You can also change the color of the background and the subtitle window by clicking on the corresponding squares.
The colors are identical to those proposed for the font and the shadow.
As you can see, the appearance of the subtitles is now very different.
Click “Save” to validate the changes.
You can also click “Reset” to cancel all changes and return to the default options.
